World number 16 Denis Shapovalov lost a sixth-straight match on tour since reaching the Italian Open quarter-finals, with a poor straight-sets defeat to Benjamin Bonzi at the Mallorca Open. The 23-year-old produced the best tennis, and more importantly run, of his career at Wimbledon last season before losing to eventual champion Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals and he will be an intriguing player to watch at SW19 with as much potential to emulate that as crash out in the first round. With that in mind, world number 61 Arthur Rinderknech has recent form for upsetting Shapovalov after he beat the Canadian in straight sets at the Qatar Open back in February. The 26-year-old lost to Oscar Otte in five long sets this time last season and the longer format gives him plenty of time to frustrate Shapovalov as much as it gives the Canadian time to actually find some rhythm.
