World number 98 Daria Saville reached the third round at Wimbledon back in 2018 a year after setting her career-high WTA world ranking at 20th when she was formally known as Daria Gavrilova. The 28-year-old spent a few years off the tour in recent seasons but she mounted a stunning climb up the rankings with runs to the round of 16 at Indian Wells and the quarter-finals at the Miami Open. 27-year-old Viktoriya Tomova enjoyed a strong run to the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne International last week but the Bulgarian is likely to be overpowered here. Saville stunned Jil Teichmann in three sets at the Berlin Open two weeks ago for a strong result on grass of her own and the Aussie’s experience should eventually tell. Back Saville to win outright.
