World number 51 Nuria Parrizas-Diaz made her Grand Slam debut at the US Open last September and she completes the set on Tuesday with her Wimbledon debut. The 30-year-old made leaps and bounds in her game last season as a very late bloomer on the WTA tour and she reached the third round of the Australian Open back in January before a run to the semi-finals at the Monterrey Open. Parrizas-Diaz beat world number 75 Claire Liu in three sets back in January at Melbourne 2 but the American youngster has enjoyed the better recent form with a run to the Rabat Open final last month ended by Martina Trevisan. This looks a tight call with little grass form between them but take Parrizas-Diaz to earn at least a set as the just-about likelier winner here.
