World number 10 Emma Raducanu got the job done with a straight-sets victory over Louisa Chirico on Tuesday in her first match back since losing in the second round of Wimbledon. The 19-year-old is coming up to a year since her miraculous Grand Slam title won at the US Open, where she became one of the youngest major-winners in history and the first qualifier ever to do so in New York. World number 67 Camila Osorio is another youngster with a plenty of potential, especially on clay, and she has already ousted one out-of-practice Grand Slam champion this week with a straight-sets result over the returning Sofia Kenin. 20-year-old Osorio would likely have the best of this first meeting on clay but Raducanu is treated like a home favourite on US soil after her feats last season and the Washington crowd should be able to pull her over the line here.
