THE PREDICTION
This will be the fourth meeting this season, and sixth overall, between world number nine Felix Auger-Aliassime and number 11 Cam Norrie, with the Brit finally beating the Canadian for a first time just last week at the Los Cabos Open. 26-year-old Norrie reached the finals in Mexico as the defending champion there before losing in straight sets to Daniil Medvedev but he conceded just three games to Botic van de Zandschulp on Wednesday as he continues his assault on the top 10. 22-year-old Auger-Aliassime played well to overcome in-form Yoshihito Nishioka on Wednesday, with the Japanese player coming off the run of his career in Washington last week. Auger-Aliassime is playing with significant pressure here in his hometown of Montreal but he should improve under it with each passing round. This is a really tough draw for both players so early on but the sensible move looks to be taking the Canadian, buoyed by a partisan crowd, to edge this rematch one week on.
