THE PREDICTION
World number 12 Cam Norrie beat Brandon Nakashima in straight sets on Wednesday before losing to Maxime Cressy in the quarter-finals at the Eastbourne International. The 26-year-old won a first Masters title with a stupendous run at Indian Wells last October and he has added two further ATP titles this season to a career total of four with victories at the Delray Beach Open and Lyon Open. Norrie took a set from Roger Federer before defeat in the third round of Wimbledon last season but he is yet to reach the second week of a major tournament and grass is potentially his weakest surface after impressive improvements on clay and hard.
World 100 Pablo Andujar has not won a tour-level match since early April on his favoured clay and the 36-year-old is not known for his efficacy away from that surface. Andujar will put up a robust challenge in this first meeting with Norrie but the Brit is usually rock-solid in these kinds of match-ups and likely to come through unscathed. Straight sets should do it but, given some recent wobbles, back Norrie to win outright.
