World number 82 Bernabe Zapata Miralles stunned an out-of-sorts Holger Rune in three sets on Wednesday, coming back from a set down to reach his first ever quarter-final on tour. The 25-year-old is a handful on clay, with a recent run to the round of 16 at Roland-Garros including victories over Taylor Fritz and John Isner in four and five sets, respectively. 20-year-old Giulio Zeppieri is also charting fresh waters this week, with a three-set victory over Daniel Elahi Galan on Wednesday backing-up his first ever win on tour on Monday. This is a huge opportunity for two first-time quarter-finalists to go one better but, whilst the pair are inexperienced at this level, Zapata Miralles’ run in Paris suggests he could edge this first encounter. This match is certainly with keeping out of an accumulator considering Zeppieri’s relatively unknown level but otherwise back the Spaniard to edge this outright.
