World number 66 Ann Li claimed her maiden WTA title, outright, by beating Camila Osorio late last year in the final of the Tenerife Open. The 22-year-old reached the third round of the US Open on her debut here back in 2020 and she matched that in 2021 at the Australian Open after tying first at the Grampians Trophy alongside Anett Kontaveit. 20-year-old Osorio set a career-high WTA world ranking of 33rd after an excellent breakthrough season last year but she has struggled to impose herself on the tour so far in 2022. The Colombian looks like a top 20 player of the future, especially come the clay season, but Li looks like having the edge in this second meeting on a surface that suits her and in front of home fans. Back the American to win at least a set as the likelier of two capable victors.
