World number 42 Alison Riske has enjoyed a solid season so far in 2022 after coming back from injury late last year. The 31-year-old won the third WTA title of her career at the Linz Open last year and she finished runner-up to Madison keys at Adelaide 2 back in January before falling away somewhat in recent weeks. World number 80 Dayana Yastremska reached the final of the Lyon Open back in February before a tight defeat to Shuai Zhang and she has struggled to impose herself on tor ever since. The 22-year-old has the higher ceiling ahead of her but a recent straight-sets defeat to Riske in the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers back in April suggests the American can navigate a way through here. This still looks tight, though, and the sensible move would be taking Riske to win at least a set.
