World number 26 Elena Rybakina came back from a set down to oust Madison Keys in a high-powered first round clash at the Ostrava Open. The 23-year-old finished runner-up to Katerina Siniakova from a set up at the Slovenia Open last month but a first win since then should do her some good, with some confidence seemingly lost – not gained – since winning her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon this summer. This is a really tough draw against world number 31 Aliaksandra Sasnovich after the Belarussian stunned eighth-seed Jelena Ostapenko in straight sets on Tuesday. The 28-year-old is at her best against the better players on tour and she will be eager to exploit any signs of faltering in her opponent here. Rybakina has won both of their previous meetings in straight sets but at this moment in time caution would be advisable. Back the Kazakh to win at least a set here as the just-about likelier victor but a one-off on Sasnovich to snatch the win could be a shrewd alternative here.
