World number 41 Maxime Cressy overcame four-time Hall of Fame Open champion John Isner on Saturday in three sets and, remarkably, without a tiebreak in sight. The 25-year-old has been enjoying a breakthrough season with his swashbuckling serve-and-volley playstyle causing plenty of players a headache but he is unlikely to rattle Alexander Bublik, also 25, as the Kazakh also possess an unorthodox game. Bublik has beaten the likes of Andy Murray and in-form Jason Kubler this week as the third seed to reach his second tour final of the season and he won his first at the Montpellier Open to claim a first ever ATP title. Cressy only recently reached his third ATP final of the season at the Eastbourne International on grass but he has lost both of them so far, to Taylor Fritz in Eastbourne and to Rafael Nadal at Melbourne 1 back in January. The pair have not met on tour before and this match is likely to rest on whomever can make more first serves.
