World number 59 Marton Fucsovics reached the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time here last season, stunning the fifth seed Andrey Rublev in five sets before a straight-sets defeat to Novak Djokovic. The Hungarian is excellent on grass but this month has been bittersweet with a victory over Hubert Hurkacz at the Stuttgart Open marred by an injury in the quarter-final against Nick Kyrgios. World number 38 Alexander Bublik is also comfortable on grass as a big-server with excellent hand skills to back it up. The 25-year-old lost to two out of three finalists at tournaments on grass this summer, Andy Murray at the Stuttgart Open and eventual Eastbourne International champion Taylor Fritz last week, and he is yet to lose to Fucsovics with a 2-0 lead in their head-to-head record. This could be a five-setter but anything is on the table where maverick Bublik is concerned. Given his record over Fucsovics, take the Kazakh to win at least a set here and consider adding at least one tiebreak in the match for good measure.
