ALEKSANDAR KOVACEVIC VS GRIGOR DIMITROV PREDICTION
World number 10 Grigor Dimitrov has struggled to make much of an impact on draws since the start of the clay swing but he finished runner-up to Jannik Sinner at the Miami Open in March off the back of his resurgent form.
The 32-year-old found a new lease of life around this time last season to suggest he could still be a factor at the top of the sport and he snapped a seven-year wait for silverware in January with victory at the Brisbane 500. Dimitrov has reached the semi-finals of each of the other three Grand Slams but two round of 16 exits here in 2020 and last summer are in keeping with his overall performance on his least favoured clay.
World number 87 Aleksandar Kovacevic will put up a stern opening test for the Bulgarian but he has been unfortunate to draw such a high seed early-on in Paris after enjoying a decent spell on tour. Dimitrov should be winning their first encounter in straight sets but the sensible concession at this early stage is outright inside an accumulator.
