The weather in Switzerland this week has caused havoc with the fixtures at the Ladies Open Lausanne and 24-year-old Fiona Ferro will have to play two matches on Friday after beating Alycia Parks in the round of 16 earlier today. The second seed should be able to start well against Clara Burel in what will be their second career meeting but the younger Frenchwoman would do well to stick with Ferro all the way in case of signs of fatigue towards the end of their match. Ferro beat Burel in three sets earlier this year at the Lyon Open, also a quarter-final, and despite the 20-year-old’s strong performances so far this campaign world number 52 Ferro should still be the favourite here.
