THE PREDICTION
Egor Gerasimov and Karen Khachanov meet in this second-round clash at Wimbledon and it is Khachanov who is heavily favoured to win. He won their only previous meeting on a hard surface back in 2018 but he will fancy his chances on grass even more so. Khachanov has a reasonable record having reached the third round as a minimum in his last three appearances at SW19. That said, he will know he needs to improve on his first-round performance against Mackenzie McDonald. He conceded 17 break points in that match and while only three were converted, he will not be happy with the opportunities handed to his opponent. That will need to be remedied here against Gerasimov but he should be capable of taking it up a level. Expect Khachanov to get the win and safely add him to your accumulators.
