Talented 23-year-old Soon-Woo Kwon is coming into this year’s Wimbledon with plenty of confidence after reaching the third round at Roland Garros. He defeated Kevin Anderson and Andreas Seppi in Paris before falling to Matteo Berrettini and he will be eager to progress a couple of rounds this week. The South Korean reached the first round two years ago and he will view this as a golden opportunity to go a step further this time around.
DANIEL MASUR
26-year-old German Daniel Masur has reached a main draw in a Grand Slam for the first time this week after coming through three qualifying rounds. It has been an excellent 2021 for him having also won his first ATP Challenger title so Masur will be confident. This is easily the biggest game of his career however and a tough test lies ahead here.
THE PREDICTION
Neither Soon-Woo Kwon nor Daniel Masur have any real experience of Wimbledon but it is the talented young Korean who is preferred coming into this one. The 23-year-old showed glimpses of his potential at Roland Garros as he reached the third round and there is every chance he can translate that form on to grass. Kwon will be fired up to get his first win at Wimbledon and he is fully capable of doing so against Masur. Expect a comfortable win for the Korean and safely add this one to your accumulator.
