Venus Williams returns to SW19 where she has enjoyed so much success in her illustrious career but she will be desperate to do better than her first-round exit last time in 2019. Her form leading up to this event has not been great with the 41-year-old having lost her last six matches. She has agreed to partner Nick Kyrgios in the mixed doubles in what is sure to be an entertaining partnership. However, how seriously or focused she is on the singles will remain to be seen given her recent struggles. She faces Romanian Mihaela Buzarnescu and they have one previous meeting. That came back at the Australian Open in 2019 when Venus edged a three-setter and this one could be equally close. We’re going for both players to win a set but avoiding picking a winner.
