Pouille was ranked number 10 as recently as March 2018 but the 27 year-old Frenchman hasn’t gone past the first round of a Grand Slam since his second round appearance at the US Open in 2019. That is because he has missed four tournaments due to injury. In the five times that he has reached the finals of the US Open, only once has he not got past the first round.

This is a clash between two players that have faded away from genuine title contenders in recent years for various reasons. Ramos has a strong head-to-head record for this having won four of the five times in which these two have faced off. A result could be too close to call for this despite the Spaniard being the slight favourite. It is likely, though, that this will be a long game so an overs bet for games would be solid for this one.
