World number 37 Albert Ramos-Vinolas took his Estoril Open title-winning form straight into the Madrid Masters with an excellent three-set victory over Taylor Fritz on Tuesday and the Spaniard will be well-supported in his efforts against Federico Delbonis. World number 77 Delbonis leads their head-to-head record 4-2 right now, with all six matches taking place on clay, but the pair have not faced each other since 2019. 30-year-old Delbonis is also in some good form and he shocked Pablo Carreno Busta on Monday over three sets to set-up this seventh meeting with Ramos-Vinolas as the favourite. However, 33-year-old Ramos-Vinolas has been in superb shape the last few weeks and wins over Cam Norrie, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and more recently Fritz suggests he will have enough to win outright here.
