The 33-year-old is the current and five-time Italian Open champion with eight finals here over the last 10 seasons so he looks set for another deep run this week. He will face Taylor Fritz for the second time this year after the pair shared a five-set slog at the Australian Open and if Fritz can play how he did on Monday morning to beat Dan Evans in two this could be another long encounter. However, Djokovic holds a healthy 3-0 head-to-head record over the world number 30 and has won their two clay-court matches handily so far. Take the Serb to start his campaign with a straight-sets message to the rest of the draw.
