Italian Open 13th seed Denis Shapovalov conceded just four games en-route to the second round against Kamil Majchrzak and these kinds of wins are exactly what the 22-year-old needs. Shapovalov is not at his best on this surface as someone who loves to hit shots for the highlights reel, with his opponents more able to return them on clay, but he is still an unreliably dangerous individual when hot. This first meeting with world number 69 Stefano Travaglia will be an altogether tougher match than his first but the Canadian should be winning this encounter in straight sets all the same.
