34-year-old Richard Gasquet is always a joy to watch but a significantly difficult player to predict with any real degree of safety these days due to his issues with fitness. The Frenchman faces world number 46 Reilly Opelka for the first time and the American is the player in the worse form having lost his last six matches in a row but this match could go either way. 23-year-old Opelka is clearly in a rut right now but only needs a couple of results to go his way to rediscover his rhythm but if there were a player to come out of this tricky match-up it seems more likely to be the experienced Gasquet. However, this looks a roll of the dice. It could be worth opting for at least one tiebreak in this match with big-serving Opelka hard to break but that seems a grasping at straws.
