31-year-old Sorana Cirstea is through to her second clay court final of the season after overco9ming the eighth seed Magda Linette on Friday evening. The Romanian won her second WTA last month at the Istanbul Open by beating top seed Elise Mertens in the final and that could set her in good stead here against world number 38 Barbora Krejcikova. The Czech is the fifth seed in Strasbourg and targeting her first ever WTA title at a tournament she has looked dangerous in throughout and this third meeting between the two looks to be very much about winning experiences versus determination. With one win apiece against each other, Krejcikova’s win did come on their only previous clay meeting which could suggest she has the upper hand here but world number 61 Cirstea has been in excellent form on this surface. Take Cirstea to win at least a set here and leave the ultimate winner up to chance.
