Tommy Paul should be targeting this Indian Wells debut for a first round victory considering Lopez’ poor form and losing streak and yet there has been something lacking from the American’s performances this year. The evergreen Lopez still possesses one of the more enviable one-handed backhands on tour and his occasional star quality could see him cause the mini-upset here if Paul is not able to find anything like his best ability. The winner of this match looks tough to side with, so take the experienced Lopez to win at least a set as he says a potential goodbye to one of tennis’ greatest tournaments.
