THE PREDICTION
31-year-old Dusan Lajovic has seriously struggled to make an impact on tour for some time but is through to his second quarter-final of the season after two straightforward wins over Luca Pouille and Alex Molcan. The Serb is a clay specialist at heart but his best form looks to be behind him at this stage and facing the second seed Pablo Carreno Busta is a tough ask. World number 13 Carreno Busta beat fellow Spaniard Carlos Taberner in the round of 16 after receiving a bye and is seeking his second title on clay this year after winning the Andalucia Open at the start of the swing. The 30-year-old leads their head-to-head record 2-1 and has won both of the last two meetings, including last year at the Cincinnati Open. Lajovic of course has a chance at the upset here but PCB should be too strong so take the Spaniard as the outright winner.
