This will be an enthralling first meeting between two fiery Italians in world number 83 Marco Cecchinato and number 76 Lorenzo Musetti with the result hard to call. Both right-handers have excellent on-handed backhands and similar mentalities on the court so plenty of what this match is about will only be revealed during play. Both have also taken out top 25 players as Cecchinato made the third round via a four-set win over Alex de Minaur and Musetti beat world number 13 David Goffin in straight sets on Monday. 28-year-old Cecchinato is unlikely to give his fellow Italian the room to manoeuvre that he has enjoyed so far in Paris and if mind games come into this it is likely to fall the elder man’s way. However, take Musetti to win at least a set here having won both of his matches to nil so far.
