THE PREDICTION
This is a must watch for tennis fans seeking future stars to support through the years as 19-year-old Jannik Sinner and 22-year-old Mikael Ymer face off for a third time. The pair share a 1-1 head-to-head record with Sinner beating the Swede en-route to his ATP Next Gen Finals victory in 2019 but Ymer avenged that at the Montpellier Open last season. Both have so far endured similar campaigns, with world number 19 Sinner needing five sets to beat an inspired Pierre-Hugues Herbert on Monday and four to take out fellow Italian Gianluca Mager in the second round whilst Ymer beat Roberto Carballes Baena in five and then, fantastically, took out world number 15 Gael Monfils in four on Thursday. Set-wise there looks to be at least one in this for both players but a winner is hard to side with on form in what should be a well-supported, neutral match by Roland-Garros crowds. If you can take over three sets for this match, do so, otherwise take Ymer to win at least a set here, or perhaps Sinner to win at least two as the closer favourite.
