THE PREDICTION
This looked an unlikely second round meeting on paper when world number 91 Soonwoo Kwon took on Kevin Anderson and number 98 Andreas Seppi faced Felix Auger-Aliassime on Tuesday but both battled through in four sets in superb fashion. 37-year-old Seppi was especially impressive given he had no wins on tour until beating the world number 21 and he enjoyed the support of a limited crowd that should turn out well for the veteran again on Thursday morning. A result here looks a total piece of guesswork, though, in the first ever meeting between Kwon and Seppi and if over three sets is an available option, take that. 23-year-old Kwon has enjoyed the better form this season but Seppi’s win over a rising star should bolster his confidence here as his career slowly dials down. Take the Italian to win at least a set here in what could go all the way to five.
