THE PREDICTION
World number one Novak Djokovic got off to an assured start against professional Grand Slam banana skin Tennys Sandgren on Tuesday, beating the out-of-sorts American in straight sets. He faces Uruguayan veteran Pablo Cuevas, who also came through his first round match at Roland-Garros in comfortable fashion against Lucas Pouille and the 35-year-old will be tougher than he looks in this one. The world number 92 made it all the way to the semi-finals of the Geneva Open two weeks ago before succumbing to Denis Shapovalov and over three sets the six-time ATP title winner will be a positive force ready to pounce on any lapse in concentration that 34-year-old Djokovic might show. However, this first meeting still looks like it will see only three sets. Djokovic could be up against it at times here but the Serb should still come through this unscathed.
