World number 48 Miomir Kecmanovic went down an early set against Dan Evans on Sunday in keeping with the Serb’s recent poor form but the 21-year-old recovered well and grew into the match exceptionally well to take it in four. This will be a really intense and enjoyable match as a result with fellow Serb Laslo Djere, who beat tricky left-hander Corentin Moutet in four sets on Sunday too. Kecmanovic leads their head-to-head record by a healthy 3-0 margin but this match looks set to see sets for both players and if there is an option for over three sets take it. Otherwise, Kecmanovic’ performance on Sunday was superb and if he can find that level again he should come through the winner here.
