World number 16 Casper Ruud should benefit from a tough first round match against Benoit Paire as he was stunned in the first set by the currently unpredictable Frenchman before rallying to win in four. The 22-year-old is a dark horse for a deep run here at a Grand Slam he certainly has the potential to win one day and especially in this half of the draw away from Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Ruud will take on world number 126 Kamil Majchrzak here after the 25-year-old knocked out young French prospect Arthur Cazaux in four sets on Monday. 25-year-old Majchrzak will be a handful for Ruud but the Norwegian should be altogether more confident after a first round bruising and he can power through this first meeting in straight sets.
