World number 16 Victoria Azarenka has come through three stern tests to reach the round of 16 but the Belarusian has looked better with each passing round. She took out Madison Keys in comprehensive fashion on Friday and faces a dangerous Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova for a seventh time here. 29-year-old Pavluchenkova knocked out one of the favourites for the tournament in Aryna Sabalenka on Friday to reach this stage, avenging a defeat by the world number four in the semi-finals of the Madrid Open last month. The Russian is in good form and this looks like an excellent match on Sunday but Azarenka’s 5-1 lead in their head-to-head record speaks for itself.
