World number 10 Diego Schwartzman was at his very best against Philipp Kohlschreiber on Saturday, dismantling the German in three sets just days after Kohlschreiber had blown Roland-Garros away with a win over Aslan Karatsev. 28-year-old Schwartzman clearly has an affinity for this major that he struggles to find on occasions elsewhere but the Argentine should be the favourite to come through here ahead of world number 42 Jan-Lennard Struff. 31-year-old Struff has been in exceptional form this campaign and it is hard to pick the more impressive result out of beating world number seven Andrey Rublev in five sets or playing the villain against teenage Carlos Alcaraz and his adoring crowd. Struff beat Alcaraz in straight sets in a show of great mental fortitude and the German has every chance of reaching the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time. The pair share a 1-1 head-to-head record right now with Struff the most recent winner on hard courts but Schwartzman the victor on clay and that looks a solid clue for this bout. Take Schwartzman to win this outright or perhaps Schwartzman to win and both players to take a set as this could go all the way to five.
