THE PREDICTION
Despite a hugely entertaining Roland-Garros so far this is the first truly blockbuster battle on Tuesday night, though without fans present due to curfews it will lose some sparkle. World number five Stefanos Tsitsipas has been the most in-form man on tour all season long and probably the best on clay behind Rafael Nadal, but he has a pretty poor record against world number two Daniil Medvedev. 25-year-old Medvedev leads their record 6-1 after a three-set victory earlier this season at the Australian Open but the tables have turned a little on form this season and this is also, crucially, their first meeting on clay. 22-year-old Tsitsipas will have to play the best he has this season to oust a player who clearly has his number on hard courts and with both dropping just the one set this campaign each this could easily go down to the wire. This should be Tsitsipas’ time to shine given how he has evolved his game on clay this season so take the Greek to win and both players to take a set.
