World number 33 Taylor Fritz has struggled for consistency on clay this season but the American’s forehand is one of the best on tour when he finds his rhythm and he will be the firm favourite for this first meeting with Joao Sousa. 32-year-old Sousa has lost his last three matches on tour without taking a set and the world number 114 could struggle to impose himself on this match from the start if Fritz turns up with the kind of form that beat Dan Evans, David Goffin and Denis Shapovalov this season. In an accumulator take the American to win outright but otherwise the 23-year-old should be able to win this in three.
