31-year-old Steve Johnson has struggled with fitness and form over the last few months and will be seeking his first win of the season here against fellow American Frances Tiafoe. Johnson was the winner the last time they met at the Houston Open in 2018 but since then things have changed in a big way for Tiafoe, who reached a career-high ranking of 29 in 2019. 23-year-old Tiafoe has been struggling on tour himself but this is a winnable first fixture at Roland-Garros considering Johnson’s form. Set-wise this looks a tough one to call but take the younger American to win a match that could go quite some way towards three hours.
