British number one Dan Evans enjoyed incredible success earlier in the clay swing, reaching the semi-finals of the Monte-Carlo Masters via a career-best win over Novak Djokovic and the round of 16 at the Madrid Open. The 31-year-old had found no joy on clay before this season but has figured out a way to play his game on this surface now and it will be fascinating to see how he does at this Grand Slam having wisely taken a fortnight off. 21-year-old Miomir Kecmanovic has been in no such form and is riding a four-match losing streak after defeat in the first round of the Belgrade Open last week. The young Serb has bags of potential but has stuttered on tour for some time, though he is well capable of posting a shock here or taking it all the way. Take Evans to win this outright as straight-sets wins come few and far between for him.
