Two left-handers meet in the final of the Estoril Open in what is a very unexpected match-up but world number 46 Albert Ramos-Vinolas and number 50 Cameron Norrie have been exceptional this week in Portugal. 33-year-old Ramos-Vinolas overcame an in-form young Spaniard, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, on Saturday in straight sets to take a spotless card into the final, no sets conceded all week, and that looks like a tough ask for Norrie who has lost both of their previous meetings. However, 25-year-old Norrie has taken out some tough foes this week in Cristian Garin and Marin Cilic and he will be up for what is his second ever tour final in a big way. The British number two looks set to struggle against a man who is totally at home on this surface. Ramos-Vinolas has two clay titles to his name already with wins at Bastad in 2016 and Gstaad in 2019, though this match should need a decider before a winner is found. Norrie could find nerves creeping into his game and will need to find a big strategy against a fellow left-hander but if this match saw a third set he would possibly be the favourite to find the answers there. This is a difficult call indeed, so either take Ramos-Vinolas to win outright or for this match to see three sets.
