Former US Open champion Sloane Stephens has looked impressive all week in Parma and handed Sara Errani a second-set bagel en-route to a strong quarter-final win on Thursday. The 28-year-old will have to beat world number 48 Qiang Wang for the first time, though, with the Chinese star leading their head-to-head 2-0 with wins in 2016 and 2017 on hard courts. World number 65 Stephens looks like she is coming back into some form after a tough couple of years on tour but Wang is a player who can find a pretty impenetrable groove on court and her defeat of Petra Martic on Thursday is a stand-out result. Take Wang to win at least a set here, or for the match to go to three before a winner is found.
