THE PREDICTION
20-year-old Sebastian Korda has looks to have shaken off a wilderness period following an incredible run to the Miami Open quarter-finals last month with just his second and third wins on clay this season this week in Parma. The world number 63 took out the first seed Lorenzo Sonego in straight-sets on Wednesday and could well romp to the final now if he can cope with the speed and positivity of his next foe Yoshihito Nishioka. World number 60 Nishioka has been in excellent form over the last few weeks, beating top players in Ugo Humbert and Gael Monfils at the Lyon Open before carrying that through to a straight-sets win over Lorenzo Musetti here yesterday. The two playstyles could not be more different in this first meeting and this looks like the best match of the week so far in many ways but if Korda can perform to his best ability he should be able to overpower Nishioka for at least some of this match. Take the American to win at least a set here.
