World number 24 Jannik Sinner looks to be over his early summer slump in form and beat his Men’s Doubles partner at the Citi Open Sebastian Korda in straight sets on Thursday. Sinner and Korda will play in the semi-finals of the Doubles after the Italian takes on home favourite Steve Johnson in the Singles quarters with the 19-year-old suddenly looking a title contender once again. 31-year-old Steve Johnson comprehensively beat Ricardas Berankis in the round of 16 after a season’s best result over Alex de Minaur in the round prior. However, Johnson came off the worst the last time the pair met in a three-set victory for Sinner at the 2019 Italian Open and in this form it is hard to see the American coming through. Sinner has had a crisis of confidence this summer, perhaps his first since breaking through to the big time, but take him to win this in straight sets and lock his eyes on the final.
