World number 16 Felix Auger-Aliassime is having a fairly torrid time of it on tour right now having lost in the first round of the Olympic Games to lucky loser Max Purcell and then to world number 130 Jenson Brooksby at the Citi Open last week. The now 21-year-old will be hoping for a big week at his home ATP 1000 tournament as he seeks to break his finals duck, having finished runner-up at tournaments eight times already at such a tender age. In his way is world number 44 Dusan Lajovic, who beat the Canadian in straight sets in their only previous meeting back at the first ATP Cup in 2020. The 31-year-old has had a fairly poor time of it since on tour but coming back from a set down against Emil Ruusuvuori on Tuesday will give him hope at taking out another youngster here.
Auger-Aliassime is fairly shaky right now but should still be winning this to level their head-to-head record at 1-1. Take the home favourite to win outright but this match could go either way.
