THE PREDICTION
These players had not faced each other at all before this month but Stefanos Tsitsipas will play Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16 of a tournament for the second time this October after the Greek won at Roland-Garros in straight-sets. The world number five was well challenged by Jan-Lennard Struff, as he often is by the German number two, but ultimately came through in three sets to reach this stage but Dimitrov was impressive in his first round defeat of Karen Khachanov. Whilst it could be said that Khachanov is currently struggling for form, the Bulgarian was emphatic in his straight-sets victory and will test Tsitsipas in this encounter. However, 22-year-old Tsitsipas tends to grow into tournaments and his very recent match with Dimitrov is telling. There should be fireworks, and possibly a decider before a winner is found, but that victor will likely be Tsitsipas.
