For the second year in a row at this level, Pablo Carreno Busta and Ricardas Berankis meet in the second round and it was the Spaniard who won last time over four sets. After a sluggish start in his opening match against Yasutaka Uchiyama which went to five sets, Carreno Busta was in superb form against Mitchell Krueger where he dropped just five games in a comprehensive win. He now faces Lithuanian Berankis and he will be confident of inflicting another defeat on him. Berankis has overcome tricky opponents in Federico Gaio and Steve Johnson, but Carreno Busta should have the measure of him here so expect the Spaniard to get the win and move into the fourth round.
