Last year’s US Open semi-finalist Matteo Berrettini has barely broken sweat so far in New York having seen off Go Soeda, Ugo Humbert and Casper Ruud without dropping a set and the world number eight is looking if fine form as he continues to improve all facets of his game. This can also be said of his opponent Andrey Rublev who has barely been challenged so far having also won all nine sets he has contested. Something has to give here then, and Rublev will be hoping to perform better than he did in their meeting at last year’s US Open, where Berrettini was a straight-sets winner. Rublev has certainly upped his game since then and has a couple of ATP titles to his name this year so he will not lie down so easily this time around. This just looks too close to call between two in-form players so the recommended betting market is Total Sets as this one could easily go to a fifth.
