American Jennifer Brady is arguably the form player in the women’s semi-finals having reached their stage without dropping a single set and having beaten three seeds on route to this stage. She has not even been taken to a tie-break in any of her matches such has been her dominance but the 28-seed now faces her toughest test in Naomi Osaka. The 2018 champion Osaka made a relatively slow start to this year’s tournament but she has looked better with each round. She is going to have to improve once again here though if she is to overcome the in-form Brady and live up to her reputation as the tournament favourite. Brady is the underdog here but the market may be underestimating the 25-year-old American. She cab push Osaka all the way here and even if she does not quite manage to get the win, this semi should go to a deciding set.
