Adrian Mannarino will be hoping to put a disappointing French Open behind him as he comes into this St. Petersburg Open to face Belarusian qualifier Ilya Ivashka. The pair have met just once before, where current world number 39 Mannarino won in straight-sets on the hard courts of the Citi Open in Washington last year. It may not be so simple for the Frenchman this time, however, as he comes into this on a four-match losing streak and Ivashka has had some near-successes thus year – most notably a five-set loss to Kevin Anderson at the Australian Open. Realistically Mannarino should be taking this in straight-sets but the qualifier has it in him to force a decider before the Frenchman wins.
