This is an excellent opportunity for one of lucky loser Federico Coria and French wildcard Benjamin Bonzi to make it through the second round to potentially face the 2018 Paris Masters champion, Karen Khachanov. The two have never met before at tour-level and this match could go either way with the buoyancy of being a lucky loser combatting well against playing in Paris for Bonzi. The lack of fans should count somewhat against that advantage, however, but Bonzi reached the second round of the French Open last month before losing to the rising Jannik Sinner. Coria went one further before losing to Sinner in the third round and that could give a clue as to who comes out on top with the more experienced Argentine likelier to make his way through here.
