THE PREDICTION
Frances’ Adrian Mannarino will have to gather himself quickly following his loss on Sunday to John Millman in the Astana Open final but the prospect of playing at his home tournament should help with that disappointment. The lack of crowds will take away some of the bite that French players are given in their well-supported tournaments but Mannarino is experienced enough to cope with that. However, Dusan Lajovic only recently beat Mannarino at the Hamburg Open in September to make their head-to-head record 3-1 to the Serb and his first round loss to Lorenzo Sonego in the first round of the Vienna Open no longer looks a poor one. The fact that Mannarino will have lost a final on Sunday should come into this heavily and if the match goes ahead at all, Lajovic will be the better-rested to win it.
