THE PREDICTION
These two players face each other for the second tournament in succession after Tsitsipas won last week’s second-round meeting in Hamburg. That was a fairly competitive affair but the Greek star ultimately had that extra gear when he needed it and that is likely to be the case once more here. Having said that, the fifth seed was staring an early exit in the face on Tuesday as he had to come from two sets down to see off the challenge of Jaume Munar and his largely erratic display was at odds with his run to the final of the Hamburg Open last week. That will give veteran Cuevas some hope here who will look to extract errors from the Greek with his heavy topspin forehand but Tsitsipas is unlikely to be wayward for a second game in succession and we’re tipping him to see off Cuevas in four sets.
